Prof. Arindam Dey

Prof. Arindam Dey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Guwahati, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. from IIT Kanpur after completing his B.E. and M.E. at Jadavpur University, followed by postdoctoral research in Italy. Prof. Bhargava Rama Chilukuri

Dr. Chalumuri Ravi Sekhar

Head CNN and Chief Scientist Transportation Planning and Environment Division - CSIR

Dr. Chalumuri Ravi Sekhar is Senior Principal Scientist and Head of the Transportation Planning and Environment Division at CSIR-Central Road Research Institute, New Delhi. He earned his Ph.D. from Kobe University, Japan, and has been contributing to transportation research since 2001. His expertise lies in urban transportation planning, traffic flow studies, demand management, and sustainable mobility strategies. Dr. Ravi Sekhar has been recognized with the Indian Roads Congress Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Award in 2014 for his outstanding contributions. Over his career, he has published over 40 technical papers in leading journals, with 10 appearing in SCI-indexed outlets. He has also supervised numerous doctoral and master’s students, contributing to human resource development in transportation research. At CSIR-CRRI, he leads multi-disciplinary projects on urban traffic management, environmental impacts of transportation, and smart mobility planning. His work bridges research, policy, and implementation in the field of transport infrastructure and sustainable urban mobility.

Prof. Deb Mishra

Prof. Deb Mishra is an Associate Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State University, where he also leads the newly established National Center for Sustainable Construction Materials, funded by a historic grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and has built a research portfolio that encompasses infrastructure materials, pavement and railroad engineering, advanced instrumentation, and life-cycle sustainability analysis. Prof. Indrajit Ghosh

Prof. Indrajit Ghosh is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, specializing in transportation engineering. He earned his B.E. and M.E. in Civil Engineering from IIEST Shibpur, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. from Wayne State University, USA. Prof. Ghosh’s research spans road safety evaluation using traffic conflict techniques, traffic flow modeling, machine learning and deep learning in transportation safety, emergency evacuation planning, and cyber–physical systems in transportation. He has been the principal investigator for several major projects, including those on smart city traffic and pavement systems and flood evacuation modeling, with funding exceeding INR 1.5 crores. He has published extensively in high-impact journals and has over 3,700 citations on Google Scholar. Prof. Ghosh serves on several national and international professional committees, including the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee on Traffic Control Devices and Indian Roads Congress. He is a recipient of the ASEM-DUO Fellowship (2020, 2022) and other prestigious recognitions. Through his teaching, mentoring, and research, Prof. Ghosh has established himself as a leader in advancing safe, resilient, and technology-driven transportation systems.

Prof. Kalaga Ramachandra Rao

Prof. Kalaga Ramachandra Rao is Professor in Civil Engineering and Head of the Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Centre (TRIP Centre) at IIT Delhi. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur and has since dedicated his career to advancing research in mass transit planning, traffic flow modeling, road safety, and injury prevention. His interdisciplinary expertise combines engineering, policy, and behavioral sciences, making him a pioneer in traffic accident analysis and sustainable transport planning. Prof. Rao has led several significant projects, including DST-SERC funded research on heterogeneous traffic flow and Indo-US collaborative research on transportation safety. He has also been awarded the Indo-US Research Fellowship and has actively contributed to committees of the Indian Roads Congress and international forums. Under his leadership, the TRIP Centre has evolved into a leading institution for sustainable mobility and injury prevention research. Prof. Manoj M

Prof. Manoj M is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and specializes in transportation planning, travel-demand modeling, and activity-travel behavior analysis. Dr. Mukti Advani

Senior Principal Scientist
Central Road Research Institute (CSIR)

Dr. Mukti Advani has been working at CSIR–Central Road Research Institute since 2007 and currently serves as a Senior Principal Scientist in the Transportation Planning & Environment Division. Her work focuses on sustainable transport, including walking and cycling trips, road safety—particularly in school zones—and vehicular emission estimation for Indian cities. She is actively involved in the preparation of key documents for the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), serving on several technical committees. Dr. Advani is also a Member of the National Clean Air Mission (NCAM), an Executive Board Member of the Transportation Research Group of India (TRG–India), and a Project Advisory Committee Member at NATPAC. She has contributed to numerous national and international conferences as a program committee member, technical reviewer, and advisor. Her major projects have been supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, CPCB, and others, including iRASTE, SUSTRANS, ELSIM, and the Indian Highway Capacity Manual.

Prof. Nikhil Saboo

Prof. Nikhil Saboo is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at IIT Roorkee, with expertise in pavement materials and highway engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering and has developed a strong research profile in the rheology and performance of modified asphalt binders, particularly polymer-modified bitumen. His pioneering research team at IIT Roorkee developed the world’s first bio-bitumen, which has been successfully implemented on a 650-meter stretch of National Highway designed to withstand over 200 million standard axles. Prof.Prateek Bansal

Prof. Prateek Bansal is a Presidential Young (Assistant) Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Before joining NUS in 2022, he was a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow at Imperial College London and did a Ph.D. from Cornell, an MSc from UT Austin, and a BTech from IIT Delhi.?Prateek?leads the Behavioural Cognitive Science Lab at NUS and is a co-principal investigator of the Adaptive Mobility module at Future Cities Laboratory (FCL), Singapore. His research group is interested in creating new methods to address challenging questions related to mobility behavior and the adoption of emerging technologies at an individual level and an urban scale. His research has led to over 70 journal articles. He also serves as the editorial board member of Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice and Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, among others. He is an elected board member of the International Association of Travel Behavior Research (IATBR).

Prof. Sandip Chakrabarti

Prof. Sandip Chakrabarti is an Associate Professor in the Public Systems Group at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and holds the prestigious JSW Chair in Innovation and Public Policy. He completed his Ph.D. in Policy, Planning, and Development from the University of Southern California, after earning his Master’s in City Planning from IIT Kharagpur. Prior to joining IIM Ahmedabad, he was a faculty member at the University of New Orleans. His research explores transport policy evaluation, multimodal system performance, public transit planning, active travel, and the role of big data in mobility studies. He has published widely in leading international journals including Urban Studies, Transport Policy, Transportation Research Part A, etc. At IIM Ahmedabad, Prof. Chakrabarti serves as Chairperson of the Doctoral Programme and the Public Systems Group, and Co-Chair of the Centre for Transportation and Logistics. He actively engages with government and industry stakeholders, contributing to sustainable and inclusive mobility policies. His work blends rigorous research with policy relevance, making him a leading scholar in transportation and urban systems in India.
