ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Young Professionals Conference (YPC) will be held on the first day of the Conference on Transportation Research Group of India (CTRG-2025) at IIT Guwahati, on December 17, 2025. As a newly launched initiative, this special event is envisioned as a dynamic platform for early-career researchers to foster professional growth, disseminate their ongoing research, engage in meaningful discussions, and build collaborations with peers and experts from across the transportation research community. YPC-2025 will feature technical presentations (oral/poster), three-minute thesis presentations, interactive panel discussions, and networking sessions, all designed to encourage active engagement, facilitate mentorship, and support young researchers in navigating both academic and industry career pathways.

CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite extended abstract submissions from early career researchers for both technical presentations and three-minute thesis (3MT) presentations at the YPC-2025. This is an excellent opportunity for the young researchers, PhD students and post-doctoral fellows to showcase their research contributions, share ideas and engage with the broader transportation community. For researchers who missed the main CTRG-2025 submission deadline, YPC offers a second window of opportunity to present their work, gain recognition and actively participate in a vibrant and inclusive forum of researchers and practitioners. Young researchers who have already submitted to the main CTRG conference are welcome to participate in YPC; however, they should ensure no duplication of content if they choose to submit a separate abstract. Outstanding contributions will be recognized with awards across different categories.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Category	Details
Eligibility for technical presentation	The first author/presenter and the corresponding author must be 35 years of age or below as of 1st August 2025
Eligibility for three-minute thesis (3MT) presentation	Open to only PhD scholars who are currently in the 3rd year or beyond of their PhD program, have submitted their thesis or completed their PhD within the last 1 year.
Research domain	Aligned with the main CTRG conference themes. Please click here for more details
Review criteria	Extended abstracts will be reviewed for originality, relevance and quality
